Business Acumen for Senior Community College Managers, Day 2

Who is the program for?

The professional development training program is aimed at:

  • Member CEOs with limited background in business management
  • Member CEOS in need of a refresher course in business management
  • Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and chief accountants
  • Other senior staff with financial management and human resources responsibilities

Time and Place

This program will commence at 9.00am on Wednesday 11 April 2018 at a Sydney CBD location near Town Hall and Wynyard stations, and will conclude by 4.30pm.

Registration

Registration (free) is for CCA members only (maximum 2 per organisation, more on application to CCA) via CCA’s Eventbrite registration page. Day 2 is open to all CCA members staff, irrespective of their participation in the first program day.

Day 2 will build on Day 1 (7 February), however it is suitable for those who did not attend the first program. This training day focusses on leadership and communication, customer engagement and sales, and how to develop and monitor your organisation's business model.

You will receive skills to strengthen the foresight, business savvy and financial health of your organisation. You will come away with an improved ability to meet your organisation’s government and other contract obligations.

Your facilitator: With experience in the education, financial, recruitment, education, real estate and sporting industries, Ty Wiggins (Principal of Converge Consulting) has frequently worked with Australian community education organisations on strategy, governance and business development. He has held senior management roles, sat on senior boards and worked frontline in large and small organisations. Ty is currently completing his doctorate on leadership transitions, and holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), Master of Business Coaching and Master of Business Administration (Distinction).

Program funding:

The Sydney 2018 Business Acumen program is funded under the ACE Programs, Teaching and Leadership Program by the NSW Department of Industry. The 2017-2018 ACE Teaching and Leadership Program is aligned to the Department’s priority to improve adult and community education outcomes.
