Kylie Fergusen is a social researcher, trainer, charity operator, strategic planner, community – centre manager and engagement specialist, author and business entrepreneur. As an academic Kylie immersed herself in social planning education and research for 15 years, including studies in international development at Oxford, UK on a scholarship. Kylie then went on to work for the Federal Government in Indonesia, helping communities after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, and in the Philippines, Cambodia and Fiji. She has worked in private business as an engagement specialist and for State Government where she managed a volume of the State Planning Strategy. Most recently, Kylie managed five community centres for the local government and is now the CEO at Community Centres SA. She is also a crisis support worker with Lifeline. Kylie has a deep commitment to social justice and is passionate about facilitating meaningful relationships between people and the places that they live, work, recreate and connect-up in.
