Nilay works at Uniting NSW.ACT, the service arm of the Uniting Church, a not-for-profit organisation and the largest Aged Care provider in New South Wales. She also serves as Company Secretary for Uniting’s internal training arm.
Nilay’s expertise is compliance and assessment systems in Vocational and Education Training, the articulation of qualifications under the Australian credentialing system, the structure of Training Packages and development of Accredited Courses for a broad range of industry. Her sector experience includes Agriculture, Community Services, Corrections, Financial Services and Maritime Defence which has provided her unique insights into workforce strategy and skills development in those industries.
Nilay represented Serco Asia Pacific on the Industry Reference Committee responsible for the Correctional Services Training Package.
Nilay graduated with an honours degree from the University of Wollongong where she co-authored a peer reviewed journal article. She holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and its Singaporean equivalent.
