Dr Keiko Yasukawa is an adult education researcher and teacher educator at the University of Technology Sydney. Keiko’s research and teaching focuses on adult literacy and numeracy, and she is particularly interested in the tensions between policy, pedagogy and practice. Her most recent book is Numeracy as social practice: global and local perspectives (Routledge, 2018), co-edited with Alan Rogers, Kara Jackson and Brian Street. Keiko has also taken leadership roles in the adult literacy and numeracy professional associations, and is currently the president of the NSW Adult Literacy and Numeracy Council.
