Executive Director, Training Services NSW
David provides strategic leadership and management of the NSW vocational education and training market to meet the skills needs of industry, individuals and the community and drives improved job and skill outcomes through apprenticeships and traineeships.
David has worked across the NSW and Commonwealth government in a range of skills and employment policy, regulatory and program management roles. With the NSW Government David has led the successful transition to Smart and Skilled, implemented a number of Aboriginal programs and provides ongoing leadership for apprenticeships and traineeships as Commissioner for Vocational Training. Under David’s leadership over 200,000 training places have been delivered through JobTrainer to ensure NSW has a skilled workforce.
David delivers statewide programs through a network of regional offices with a budget of around $750 million.
