CCA Conference – final call for registrations

The CCA Sydney conference – set for Tuesday and Wednesday (13-14 September) next week will re-set the discussion on how Australia’s adult and community education (ACE) sector contributes to national skilling and training debates. In the light of widespread staff shortages, possible “normalisation” (?) of COVID transmission and the settling in of the new Government in Canberra: what is the role of ACE and how can we contribute most effectively to national value and Australian resilience and sustainability?

The Conference provides a platform to examine key areas where ACE is strong: aged care, foundation skills, working with young people, outreach to marginalised communities, providing training to disadvantaged cohorts, digital inclusion and our role in sustaining social, economic and communal infrastructure in the face of rapid change.

This is your last chance to register and to participate in what looks like becoming a profound marker of the future of Australian skills.

Late additions to the program include confirmed contributions from Commonwealth Skills Minister Brendan O’Connor and NSW Skills Minister Alister Henskens, Sean Heffernan from ASQA, Melissa Davis from Youth Off the Streets and Simon Vaughan from Huber Social, on “Maximising student wellbeing through measurement.”
