CCA staff and Board delegates from ACE member organisations recently visited Canberra at the invitation of skillsone.com.au for the launch of National Skills Week.
The breakfast launch hosted participants from across the nation with the ACE, VET, RTO, Government and Private business sectors well represented.
The 8 member CCA delegation met separately, and together with, The Hon. Minister O’Connor MP, Minister for Skills and Training, and Chief Policy Advisor Simon Kent from DEWR in a series of meetings. These important meetings allowed CCA members and staff to articulate the needs of members in closed-door, one-on-one Parliament House Ministerial offices, which built significant influence and advocacy capital for future representations to the Federal Government.
Influence as the the art of impacting decision-making is a very important skill in the playbook of every peak body and our CCA member organisations deserve the best on behalf of the students, staff and communities who we serve and build.
