2024 CCA Annual Conference

2024 CCA Annual Conference: Creative Resilience

The Community Colleges Australia (CCA) 2024 Annual Conference took place in Sydney on October 21-23 2024.

The 2024 Conference theme was "Creative Resilience: Adapting and thriving in an uncertain world".

CCA invited you to explore our world as we face unprecedented challenges and opportunities including the paradoxes of the existential threat of a climate crisis to the opportunities in decarbonising our economy; from the international rise in Nationalist populism to a new Internationalism in youth and social justice movements;
from the critical need for foundational skills resourcing to the rise of Artificial Intelligence and the opportunities that are emerging in new and digital economies.

The 2024 Conference helped to facilitate capability and improve how we navigate this unique time, through exploration of key questions:
How can community education providers adapt and innovate in this complex and uncertain environment?
How can they leverage their creativity to meet the needs and aspirations of their learners and stakeholders?
How can they foster a culture of resilience that enables them to overcome difficulties and achieve goals?

Speakers: Chemène Sinson was the Conference MC. View the list of speakers here. Download the Program here.

Community Education Student of the Year Award and Community Education Trainer of the Year Award: The Conference Gala Dinner on 22 October hosted the ceremony of the eighth Community Education Student of the Year Award and the second CCA Community Education Trainer of the Year Award. The awards celebrate the work and achievements of the students and trainers as well as the importance of the Australian ACE sector.
