CCA’s research project on work-based learning in community education providers has now moved into the final stage of data collection. Under the guidance of Project Manager Ruth Walker, this research project aims to develop a good understanding of the extent to which community providers are delivering training, including foundation skills, through work-based learning arrangements.
The research questions are:
- To what extent are community providers providing work placements?
- To what extent are community providers delivering work-based learning?
- To what extent are community providers offering foundation skills to business?
- What styles of learning have been successful for up-skilling workers?
This project has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Training under the Strategic Partnerships Program. Presentations about the project’s findings to date will be given at three upcoming conferences:
