CCA supports a strong and empowered ACNC; Commissioner Pascoe to speak at Conference

Community Colleges Australia (CCA) has provided its support for a strong and sustainable Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC).

Earlier this month, CCA joined with 100 other organisations to sign an open letter to the Prime Minister – also delivered to the Treasurer, Assistant Minister Michael Sukkar, and Shadow Minister for Charities and Not-for-profits – affirming support for the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, and its Commissioner, Susan Pascoe AM. “Parts of the sector expressed concern that the national charity regulator's future was again at risk after last week's announcement that Commissioner Susan Pascoe's position would end on September 30,” reported The Canberra Times on 11 June 2017.

Commissioner Susan Pascoe will deliver a keynote talk at the Community Colleges Australia Annual Conference, speaking in Melbourne on Wednesday morning, 26 July.

The open letter of support was organised by “the other” CCA – Community Council for Australia, Chaired by Rev Tim Costello AO.
