CCA Welcomes Four New Board Directors

Community Colleges Australia (CCA) has welcomed four new Directors to its Board. New Directors elected at the recent Annual General Meeting include Jennifer Aldred, Senior Manager, Finance and Funded Programmes at Sydney Community College; Valerieanne Byrnes, CEO of Port Macquarie Community College; Ron Maxwell, CEO of VERTO (and previously CEO of Western College, Dubbo); and John O’Neill, Executive Manager, Education Services, the Deaf Society.

The four new Directors join continuing Directors David Fuller, CEO of WEA Illawarra (CCA Chair); Michelle Simpson, Executive Officer of Tamworth Community College (CCA Deputy Chair); Theresa Collignon, CEO of Macquarie Community College (CCA Treasurer); Danielle Bensley, CEO of The Parramatta College; and David Mackay, CEO of Tuggerah Lakes Community College.

“The CCA Board of Directors represents a strong and well-qualified set of the best leaders in Australia’s community education sector,” said David Fuller, CCA Chair. “The nine Directors represent an excellent cross-section metropolitan, regional and rural community education providers, and bring many decades of financial, strategic and operational experience to Community Colleges Australia.”

“CCA pays tribute to our recently retired Board Directors: David Martin from Western Riverina Community College and Joneen Troup from Camden Haven Community College, as well as Julie Neeson from Southern Grampians Adult Education and Community College, who left the Board earlier this year,” said David Fuller.
